• Windows Defender Antivirus guard detects rootkits or other highly persistent malware on Windows operating devices and alerts to use Windows Defender Offline. Then we might see a message saying that malware was found on your device, and should scan your device offline to remove it.


  • When you suspect there is malware that might be hiding on your device, but your security software doesn’t detect anything.


  • In this case,

you can start a Windows Defender Offline scan from Windows Defender Antivirus Settings. Select Start , and then open Windows Defender Security Center > Virus & threat protection > Scan history > Advanced Scans > Windows Defender Offline > Run Scan.

Create a new folder to store the data


Click offline scan but please note it requires a reboot as well
