Troubleshooting DFS Replication issues on Windows server 2012R2
DFS Namespaces: enables to group shared folders located on different servers into one or more logically structured namespaces. Each namespace appears to end users as a single shared folder with series of subfolders.
DFS Replication: enables to efficiently replicate folders across multiple servers and sites. It uses a compression algorithm RDC (Remote Differential Compression), which detects changes to the data in a file, and it enables DFS Replication to replicate only the changed file blocks instead of the entire file.
Open the DFS Management, and right click on the DFS namespace, which you are having replication issues, and choose Create Diagnostic Report, then choose the Health report
Generate the health report and open it via any web browser. Go through the report and look for any possible errors, as mentioned in the above screenshot. Here there is a connectivity issue preventing the replication with the partner server.
Fix the connectivity issue and re-run the health report to verify the replication.
